The concept of the home police project is certainly something new, and it consists in the requirement to ensure a higher level of public safety in the sphere of home affairs, to bring the police closer to the citizens and to develop a partnership between citizens and the police through the home police project to combat crime as one of the most dangerous negative phenomena. The basic task of criminology within the home police project is to contribute to the achievement of the goal in which criminality would take on acceptable proportions for society, that is, to bring it under social control. The valid demand of every society, every environment is that the scene of everyday life, public and private, should be a safe place equally for all people. The police cannot be successful and efficient in combating crime if this very important function is entrusted exclusively to them and if they do not cooperate on a wider scale.
