The expression culture has great importance in the development of children's literacy in general and therefore its implementation should start from the very beginning of their education. Therefore, this paper explores the importance of promoting the expression culture primarily at the level of lower elementary school age, with special focus on the impact of media on written expression. The media, especially new media, require the development of new forms of literacy, in which school should not lag behind, because every communication technology represents a mirror and an expression of the culture in which it is created, but at the same time it contains the seeds of change and transformation of that culture.
