Abstract

Introduction: The evaluation of damage to the function of the locomotor apparatus is a medical activity that should objectively show and provide information about injuries, consequences of injuries, damage, and incapacity that a certain person has, as a result of an accident (at work, traffic trauma, sports), or an illness that can be caused by external and internal causes, with the aim of compensating the injured. Objectives: to define the problems of the modern approach to the evaluation of locomotor apparatus damage, as well as to present the modern possibilities of its quantification. Modern diagnostic procedures that can objectively evaluate physical injury are: iso-kinetic dynamometry, magnetic resonance, thermovision, electromyography and movement laboratories.
Defining the algorithm for quantification of damage to the locomotor apparatus enables impartial, high-quality, highly professional assessment of damage to the locomotor apparatus.
In the event that the mentioned procedures clearly define the substrate of the damage, the rendering of the opinion is completed. In case of suspicion of insufficiently clearly defined damage, i.e. if the patient is simulating (correlate with thermal vision), carry out further diagnostic procedures. 4. MRI, 5. isokinetic dynamometry with EMG, 6. movement/gait laboratory.
