LEGAL REGULATION OF FINANCIAL LEASING IN SERBIA

In this paper, we consider the legal regulation of financial leasing in Serbia. Financial leasing is here regulated by the Financial Leasing Act, by Obligations Law and other legal sources. The Financial Leasing Act is the main piece of legislation that regulates the subject of financial leasing. It is important to distinguish the leasing business from leasing contracts. Specificity of leasing activities is that it is a complex, legal and economic work, which consists of several different economic (financial) and legal operations which essence is financing of complex equipment and facilities, while the leasing contract is legal business and legal instrument which implements the leasing business.
